#10 - A Day To Remember - Homesick

1/13/10

Artist:  A Day To Remember
Album:  Homesick
Label:  Victory
Release Date:  February 3rd, 2009

A Day To Remember's latest album Homesick debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums at #21 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Independent Album chart by selling 22,000 copies in it's first week.  This band and album hasn't looked back since.

To their diehard fans, this album might come across as "too poppy" but it appears it's still good enough for them as ADTR's following has skyrocketed since the release and you can still expect to get trampled to death at their shows.  Their live show is highly energetic and Homesick was able to capture that energy.  Not bad for a Chad Gilbert (New Found Glory) produced album.

The second half of the album would cater more to their "core" hardcore fan base as the first half is more melodic and contains more singing.  But ADTR mixes each song with the perfect balance of melody and breakdowns to keep both types of fans happy.  It reminds me of the balance that As I Lay Dying showed on Shadows As Security - a perfect blend of hardcore, melody and breakdowns.

This album is packed with anthemic chants, intense breakdowns and catchiness (is that a word?) to make any Fall Out Boy fan happy.   This album has propelled ADTR into the top echelon of the "warped tour" bands and are now capturing the overseas market.  A Day To Remember is a band not to forget.

This band's live show is also a sight to see.  The crowd is almost unbearable as their energy consumes you.  The band is not scared to show their love for their fans as they thank the crowd, over and over again.  ADTR has fun playing live and it sounds like they had fun recording Homesick.  There are a lot of bands that should take note of ADTR's formula.

Make sure to listen to the catchy and gang-chanting song The Downfall Of Us All on the LaLa.com player below.

Every time I see this band, I just get in a good mood. They love playing and that energy emits from them.

If this band has internal problems, they are great actors.

If the Christian Shoes leather is not flexible and comfortable, the leg would feel really bounded in there as if Christian Louboutin Pumps has been strapped. Not only the outer Christian Louboutin Boots material should be considered, the inner lining of theChristian Louboutin Sandals is also a consideration. It should be soft and should be friendly with the skin.

Nowadays, people prefer aping such fashion Coach Wallets which are often used by the celebrities or renowned personalities. People prefer experimenting with their Coach Ergo like bags, wallets, etc so that Coach Gallery can move ahead with the time and fashion. Talking about one such accessory, Coach Legacy is considered as one of the best fashionable accessories which are well-known for providing quality and trendy bags at pocket friendly rates.

The reason whychristian audigier is called "the Godfather of the Modern Tattoo" is because of his ability to use art histories of Japanese, American and ED Hardy Shoes icons and pair them with designs related to tattoo, hotrod and surfing lifestyles. hardy shirt 40 years of experience in hardy shirts design shows a range of perspectives that is unequalled in the world of body art.
